CHARITY SUPPORT
Being a family run and focused company, Heisig Constructions values the importance of family and we are dedicated to helping local children that are less fortunate and those who are coping with health issues.Raising funds to support these children include events such as our Charity Golf Day raising money for a charity of choice. Our suppliers and contractors are encouraged to participate in this event, to spread awareness for the need of such vital funds to assist these local children and their families.
Heisig Constructions has contributed tens of thousands of dollars to such charities through the efforts of the Heisig Charity Golf Day and we are devoted to continuing this endeavour to maintain the support that we have provided to date.
The following charities have been recipients of our support:
Emilie
At Heisig Constructions we are dedicated to helping people make their dream of building a new home a reality and we want you to know that we are here to help you achieve that goal. But not everyone is lucky enough to have the same opportunities that we have here in Australia. And so the Heisig team have committed to sponsoring a child, Emilie, who is eight years old and lives in Togo, West Africa. We receive regular correspondence, along with some beautiful artwork, and we are very excited to introduce Emilie to you.

Where is Togo? Togo is in West Africa. With a considerable percentage of the population living below the poverty line and with only 4 doctors for every 100,000 citizens, we thought by sponsoring Emilie we could make a real difference in her life. It is hard to imagine the conditions some children endure in other parts of the world and we are grateful that we have this opportunity.
Our continued sponsorship means Emilie receives much needed support and looks to a much brighter future. The team here at Heisig Constructions will continue to support Emilie, so that she may achieve her dreams as we help you achieve yours.
Royal Children's Hospital Foundation
The Royal Children's Hospital Foundation is the fundraising arm of Queensland's Royal Children's Hospital. The Foundation raises around $13 million annually, and since inception in 1986 more than $100 million has been invested into working wonders for sick kids.
Every year, the Royal Children's Hospital treats more than 30,000 children from all over Queensland, as well as interstate and overseas. This adds up to more than 280,000 hospital visits every year.
The hospital is a home away from home for many families from regional and remote areas who require specialised care.
The Foundation funds groundbreaking medical research and equipment, to find faster diagnoses, better treatments and ultimately cures for childhood illnesses. Funds also support services within the Royal Children's Hospital and wider Health Service District to ease the lives of sick kids and their anxious families every day.
Heisig Constructions Are Proud To Support Such A Wonderful Cause And Has So Far Raised In Excess Of $17,000 To Support The Foundation.
CanTeen - The Australian Organisation for Young People Living with Cancer
Canteen is a national support organisation for 12 - 24 year olds who are living with cancer, and is the only organisation of its kind in Australia.
CanTeen's mission is to support, develop and empower young people living with cancer. We do this by providing an Australia-wide peer support network for 12 to 24 year-olds, who include:
- Patients - young people who have been diagnosed with cancer
- Siblings & Offspring - young people who have an immediate family member (brother, sister, parent or primary carer) who has been diagnosed with cancer; and
- Bereaved Siblings & Offspring - young people who have had an immediate family member die from cancer.
Through a wide range of camps and programs, CanTeen encourages Members to share their experiences, make great friends...and of course, have fun!
CanTeen was the recipient of funds raised at one of Heisig’s Charity Golf Days. Knowing that we are helping these young people become empowered during what could be their most difficult time of their lives, is our drive to continue our efforts with our community support.
Childhood Cancer Support Inc
Childhood Cancer Support (CCS) is a committed charity with a big heart,
which has, for over thirty-five years kept its focus where it's needed, the sick children and their families.
As a charity, CCS receives no direct Government Funding and relies completely on the generous donations and sponsorship for its survival.
100 % of the money raised goes back into supporting the amazing children and their families.
In addition to continuing to provide free accommodation, CCS provides
counselling, financial assistance, recreational therapy activities and most
importantly, love and support. Plans to add further accommodation facilities and provide more services and financial support to the families cannot proceed without ongoing support.
The team at Heisig Constructions donates regularly to the Childhood Cancer Support Inc. Children’s Movie Mania and the Children’s Magic Mania and has done so for many years.
Contributing to this charity helps to provide the much needed funds for the continuation of their amazing support system for both the children and their families.
Lions Club of Brisbane MacGregor
Circus Extravaganza
Every year MacGregor Lions organise a Circus Extravaganza for underprivileged people in their community. This event is held over three days and businesses in the area fund the purchase of tickets for disadvantaged attendees. This has allowed the Lions Club of Brisbane MacGregor to raise hundred of thousands of dollars over the last few years to fund Community Service Projects.
Heisig Constructions have proudly donated to the Lions Club of Brisbane MacGregor for three years running and helps to fund this fantastic event, enabling the underprivileged people in our community the chance to attend. What an overwhelming feeling!
4KQ Variety
Special Children’s Xmas Party and Children’s Circus and Movie Day
The aim of the 4KQ Variety Special Children's Christmas Party is to provide in excess of 3,000 children with a day they will never forget.
The children come from four major groups: The terminally ill, the intellectually impaired, physically impaired and also the underprivileged who may be suffering from domestic violence or physical abuse. Children arrive from all over South East Queensland, from as far north as Maryborough, west to Roma and south to Tweed Heads.
The joy that is brought into the lives of so many, is treasured for many weeks and sometimes months after the celebration and knowing that we have brought that enjoyment into the lives of these children is a remarkable feeling.
Heisig Constructions has supported the 4KQ Variety organisation for three years now and we are delighted to have the chance to provide opportunities such as this for the children to treasure for years to come.
Other charities that we support include:
Mater Little Miracles
B105 Christmas Appeal
Victoria Point Sharks Junior AFL
Rotary Club of Toowong
Surf Life Saving
